The Eiffel Tower is wearing green for the year of biodiversity

par Elsa Sidawy | 04.25.10

For springtime, but especially for the international year of biodiversity, the Eiffel Tower is sheltering during the months of April and May a temporary garden of over 400 m2 showing the local Paris flora. Tourists will be able to discover these predominantly yellow and white vegetables: Saint-John’s-wort, milfoil, wallflower, box, birch… Definitely urban, this garden has been designed by the Paris City Hall Green Spaces and Environment Departments. Benches, water-jets, flavoured ice creams tasting: everything has been made to make the discovery as nice as possible.
