Cities at the heart of the exchanges between China and France

The first Franco-Chinese forum for higher education has born fruit. Indeed, a draft agreement has just been signed between the Technology Universities’ network and the Shanghai University, planning the creation of the first Franco-Chinese laboratory for research on the subject of cities at the heart of the Shanghai Sino-European Technology University. The aim of the innovative alliance is to encourage student mobility between China and France. Complexcity is the name of the project, which prefigures the quality of the research that should lead to new technological and social models about four subjects, from safety and urban risk management to intelligent transport, including digital cities or city evolution. In 2020, the Shanghai population could reach 22.5 million inhabitants, compelling local authorities to rethink the city in order to face this new order.
