The second edition of Futur en Seine, the festival devoted to digital culture, will take place from 17th to 26th June over the whole Ile-de-France region. Organised by the competitiveness Centre Cap Digital, the event has become a must-be for all the actors of digital innovation. “The great economic successes are related to the way people have become familiar with technology. Futur en Seine’s purpose is to give users greater access to technology,” Gaëlle Couraud, the Centre’s Director of Communications, explains. The challenge for the Regional Council is, beyond civic participation, to show the region’s dynamism worldwide and “promote the Ile-de-France region” and its innovative start-ups. The programme reflects the festival’s ambition: 85 places, a cycle of international conferences, a village of innovations, fringe events… The common thread of the event will be innovation at the service of digital technology, with five themes: the future of cities, of music and image, of creation, of communications and cities.
Futur en Seine is also aiming at enabling people to become familiar with digital innovation in concrete terms through prototypes scattered throughout the public space, especially in reference cultural places such as the Gaîté Lyrique or the Centre Pompidou. But most of these prototypes will be shown at the Centquatre, in the “Village of innovations” between the 23rd and the 26th June.
