The mini-network: a local social network for pupils’ parents

par Elsa Sidawy | 08.29.11

Launched by the SAS Men & Co, “Le mini réseau” is a local social network designed for pupils’ parents who want to share with other parents and their children’s teachers via short messages. Among other services, the network offers the opportunity to stay informed of one’s town news in terms of school life and extracurricular activities, discover cultural and sports organisations and what they offer… It acts as a real reminder for parents who neither have the time nor the opportunity to talk face to face with the people in charge of their children’s education and leisure activities. The decisive argument for this new free network is the guarantee that data will remain confidential (for instance teachers can only activate their accounts after they have received a code by mail addressed to the school in which they work). Each of the 65,000 French schools, from nursery schools to secondary schools, have already been registered on the website.
