In June LG Hausys selected eight finalists in the fifth edition of its Hi-Macs Design Competition. Over 500 projects were submitted to the jury as part of the 2011 edition dedicated to street furniture. The primary constraint: designers must use HI-MACS, a surface material composed of 70% natural stone powder, 25% acrylic and 5% natural pigments which already adorns the facades of the Prado Museum in Spain and the Porsche Museum in Germany. The eight winning projects will be produced and exhibited at the 100% Design Show in London from September 22nd to 25th, 2011.
