At the University of California, Berkeley, Professor Bayen’s team is developing new algorithms for estimating traffic on highways and arterial roads. To identify in real time and with precision slowdowns, from all causes affecting traffic conditions, researchers at the Lagrangian Sensor Systems Laboratory, led by Professor Bayen, bring together real-time measurements with models of traffic evolution.
